Product Description

After extensive experience working with Generation 1 MINI R50, R52 and R53 models, Sussex Parts Hub has identified an upgraded replacement seal solution for a common issue affecting the clutch hydraulic line connections on W10 and W11 engine vehicles.

Over time, the original clutch line connection seal can deteriorate through age, heat cycles and fatigue. This can result in a poor hydraulic seal, potentially allowing fluid to leak or air to enter the clutch system.

Symptoms may include a soft or inconsistent clutch pedal, difficulty achieving a firm pedal after bleeding, repeated air within the hydraulic system or visible fluid leakage around the clutch line connection.

The issue is that BMW MINI does not list this particular seal separately for these Gen 1 clutch line applications. Traditionally, replacement of the complete clutch hydraulic line may therefore be required.

Through our own workshop, road-car and motorsport experience, we have identified and tested a suitable OEM-quality upgraded replacement O-ring seal, allowing a serviceable original clutch line to potentially be repaired rather than unnecessarily replaced.
